    New (to me) Truck

Well, Ugly is going away... It's been a good 5 years, but it's time to kick her on down the road. I see some major stuffs coming down the line, none motor related, well except the turbo, but with 285,XXX on the chassis it's only a matter of time 'fore she eats me out of house and home. So I...

    The Explorer...

Hey y'all! I received a phone call from my eldest son yesterday morning, which is odd in itself, not that we don't speak but he doesn't usually call before school. He lives with his grandparents due to some issues he had with my wife, long story not necessary to this particular story. Anyway I...

    Running south for the week.

Thanks! Made is back safe and sound with no injuries minus sore muscles that hadn't been used in a while. I'll get more pictures posted soon.

    Running south for the week.

Hey y'all, just asking those that do so to keep me in your prayers this week. I'm heading down to the Houston area to help with the clean up for a few days. It's still pretty bad in some parts and some homes are still flooded. Not sure exactly where or what we'll be doing, but I'll find out this...

Got a wheels up photo of my '65 Dart!

My car doesn't smell bad, but then again there are no soft parts left. Honestly there's really not much left at all, see.

Got a wheels up photo of my '65 Dart!

That one isn't mine :( It does represent what I'm hoping to build my car into though. Here's where I am right now... Things keep taking priority, presently it's my son's Duster and my Durango. This winter hopefully :helpme:

    Picked up a new daily

That Exploder is the SOHC version, and it sucks, but it runs and since my Ram has been down I've been driving it. That really sucks because I went through a lot getting my truck right, prettying up the interior with a new dash cap and radio, fixing the AC, etc. :wtf: Anyway, here's a quick...

    408 Stroker

Since I have a spare block, '03 5.9 Magnum, the crank, already turned .010/.010 and polished, a Comp Cams camshaft, the pistons KB356's, and a spare set of rods, I figured I might as well go ahead and throw these parts together for a replacement engine in the Durango. A '98 5.9 with new heads...

    Carlisle 2017

Well, it was different. Maybe it was the weather or maybe it's the internet. There seemed to be a lot fewer people wandering the swap meet area this year and no one I spoke to had a lot of good things to say. I sold, or gave away, a few items this year, but that wasn't why I was there. Caught...

    Working on the daily

Not the Durango, for now, the '03 Cummins wrapped in a POS Benz body. I fixed the A/C, wasn't really my idea, but my wife intended to travel with me to Carlisle this summer to visit her former mother-in-law who has since passed. Prior to her passing I patched it together with a new manifold line...

    360 Magnum Carnage

Back in the summer I bought a 360 Mag for what I thought was a good deal to hang on to until a body showed up. I assumed it had normal Magnum issues like cracked heads, but for $75 I knew what I was getting into, or so I thought. Last night I yanked the left side head and all of the exhaust...

    Picked up a new daily

'99 Durango, 2wd, 318. Needs some TLC and maintenance, but for a 400 long block straight across swap I feel I did pretty good. When I get home I'm going to fire up the hairdryer and scrape off that "DJANGO" shit they put on the doors. Once she's up and mechanically correct I'm swapping in...

Picking this up in a couple weeks.

I found it through a friend, and my dad had a Sportsroof version when I was a kid with the Q code 351 Cobra Jet, or 351 Cleveland with a 4 barrel if you prefer. In my opinion it's the best looking front end of any Gran Torino. The fella that owns it parked it in this spot in April of 1987, I was...

    My scores...

I snagged a '74 360 block, ring ridge but little enough that a .030 will clean it up, a stroker crank for the 360 block to get me up to 408ci, a set of KB .030 pistons (summitracing.com/parts/uem-kb356-030/applications) and a single plane intake that was formerly an MPFI deal. I plan on using...

    Restoration question

At what point in body panel replacement does it go from restoration to re-body? I ask ask because after studying pics of my Rallye Challenger it seems to me the only OE body panels I'll have left are tail panel, roof skin, cowl/firewall, inner fenders and radiator support.

    Last night

A friend called and had to move her truck and trailer back to her storage... I had no idea one had been placed on top of the other. Gave the ol' Cummins a workout . As you'll notice by the size of the front hubs, that's an F550, with a 10' steel bed including ladder rack. If it had to be moved...
