Hey y'all! I received a phone call from my eldest son yesterday morning, which is odd in itself, not that we don't speak but he doesn't usually call before school. He lives with his grandparents due to some issues he had with my wife, long story not necessary to this particular story. Anyway I get the call and he states "Dad, the car is gone.."
I reply "gone where?" Thinking to myself did you lose it? Is it stolen? Forget where you parked it?
"I flipped it, I'm sorry"
At this point I'm about to lose my shit, are you okay? What happened? ARE YOU OKAY!?!?!?
"I'm fine, but the car is trashed."
"I can get another car, are YOU okay?"
"Yeah, I think so. Mawmaw is coming to get me to take me to school"
"No, you're going to the doctor's office!"
Then I get a reluctant okay.
Fast forward a couple hours, a few phone calls and text messages later, Will has a mild concussion, a few scrapes and bruises and possibly a small broken bone in his left wrist. So we meet them at the tow yard where the Explorer is located. Hugs and tears abound, the kid is still in a state of shock, but otherwise he's fine. I am a believer in God and miracles, this solidifies my beliefs.
Here's the kid.
