Hey y'all, just asking those that do so to keep me in your prayers this week. I'm heading down to the Houston area to help with the clean up for a few days. It's still pretty bad in some parts and some homes are still flooded. Not sure exactly where or what we'll be doing, but I'll find out this evening.

I'll post up some pics when I return.

Two of my brothers-in-law are in Houston but both are safe and homes weren't flooded. Thanks for doing what you're doing! Stay safe!

Thanks! Made is back safe and sound with no injuries minus sore muscles that hadn't been used in a while. I'll get more pictures posted soon. image1.JPGimage2(1).JPGimage3(1).JPGimage5(1).JPGimage7.JPG

Wow, the floodwaters got pretty deep. Good work! Kudos for helping out with the disaster relief :-)

My church partnered with 8 Days of Hope which was partnered with Grace Community church in Houston.

Thank you. I've always wanted to do something like this to help out and I will be doing it again.

Did the water get that high or did you cut the drywall at 4 feet to maintain a standard size and limit the amount of cutting the new drywall to save time?

The house with the 4' cuts had about 2 to 2-1/2' of water, we cut at 4' to be above the moisture absorption level. That particular house was fine through the hurricane, that neighborhood and a few surrounding areas were flooded when the levees were opened.

One of the homes we cleaned out had about 6' of water at one point and we pulled every inch of drywall, including ceilings and almost all of it was still wet. Removing soaked drywall is the suck!

Oh man I bet that sucked!

I bet it was a rewarding fellowship experience though.
