True, but it's nice to have the neat, organized fuse panel and the labeled wires (if indeed they are). The only real PITA is the dash wiring, which is still pretty simplistic on that era car. In my case, since I'm going a similar route to 71ChargerR/T, I will have to have a custom engine harness just because of my ECM. However, the rest of the wiring I'll just go with stock. The only problem I've ever had with stock wiring was the headlamp switch connector on the Black Bitch. Due to a problem in the motor for the hideaways, the connector melted because the headlamp motor never stopped "twitching" as the relay kicked in and out (power doors up, then down). It was pretty funny to watch, actually, since the car looked like it had a nervous tic... fluttering eyelids. Not so funny was when the terminal would pop out of the connector on the switch and the lights went out. Rather exciting at 75MPH on ancient, broken backroads in pitch darkness. I fixed the motor on the kitchen table and got a good switch connector out of a different Charger. I didn't change any wiring, though.
