1967 dart

the one for the dash frame thats under the windsheild.

I found some on r/t specialties website, so now i know what i am actually hunting for again.

I've come across one or two with bolts as well. They had the same weird captured washer like the ones under the nuts and studs you usually find.
 
Just an update for dartie

I have been putting all the body plugs in. Painted the inside of the door with some rust preventative stuff... Also did the same with the front fenders.

Installed the good power steering box.

Painted the dash frame and went to install when i figured out i forgot where i put the damn bolts ... so waiting for some of those and also all the reveal clips

I went to Moparfest and picked up some parts and a few seals.
I installed the fender seals
Rebuilt the heater box
Rebuilt the steering column (need to do the steering wheel)

Currently saving some cash to get the rest of the seals so i can install windows and seal the baby up.

I have been slowly tinkering on some of the interior parts since i have time to kill and not too exspensive ie paint.

I also found some ez cool insulation for the doors, floor, headliner at the local swap meet so i can install that when the windows are sealed up.

Things are still slowly progressing as finances dictate.
 
Oh i also installed all the brake lines except the ones on the rear axle because i have to pull the rear axle out later to weld the perches in at the correct angle.

That heater box looks downright nice! However, while you've got it out of the car I seriously suggest you change the heater core.
 
So here is what i have been sourcing as of late. Sold some stuff to gain some parts.


Almost have everything now except drive shaft and rad and some smaller items (brake pads and calipers for rear) and dont forget the odds and ends

cause i dont have alot of the wires for the car to begin with. So to stop all issues later on i decided just to start fresh.
 
Waetherstrips and air cleaner are lookin' good! As far as the wiring, I'd rather spend more money (or time) to get restoration or good junkyard harnesses so the factory service manual is still an excellent diagnostics tool.
 
I thought there was a newer engine and forward light harness in the collection of parts with the '69 Dart? The '69 harness itself was no good?
 
I agree Doc. You can get all new harnesses if you want...but at $1K for an under dash unit I'd be hard pressed to pay that. But the rest, forward light, engine, body and taillight harnesses can be had for relatively good prices. Even if I had to spend a bunch of time repairing the under dash harness...at least it would all be mopar at the end of the day.
 
When I hacked the Rallye dash from the Black Bitch into my '72 Satellite, every wiring color matched perfectly. I did it in my apartment-complex parking lot with bullet connectors and no FSM. When it went back into the Charger, more bullet connectors. :D It never gave me any trouble, either, but if it had I could've still used the wiring diagrams in the manual to diagnose.
 
hell ive got multiple cuda wiring harnesses around ...the only dart specific part i wouldnt have would be tail lights as its "extra long"
 
I always keep all the old wiring harnesses from Mopars I've parted out. I have several 5 gal buckets with misc harnesses. I use the factory wiring, connectors and misc stuff, to help patch, and add, to my existing harnesses.
 
I do have a big crate of wires. There were some wires that had nicks and things in them and seemed rather fragile to my liking.

I only paid 460 to wire the whole car from front to back and i figured if it saved me headaches i would be further ahead. I hate playing with wires to begin with and my luck is i get everything in the car and i come to find out something else is wrong and i am hunting something else down or worse case burn the car down lol
