Picked up a new toy...

Sure! :D

How many morons could there be in Jersey? :shifty:
Was that question really necessary? Have you ever heard of a "reality show" Jersey Whores? or was it shore... whatever it was they are full of idiots and barely made it off the shore line.

Watch those loaded questions Dipster, that's akin to asking how many criminals work in Washington D.C.

Now on to the shelf until I save up the $700 for the rest of the exhaust...

Just a thought... your choke point is obviously the manifolds, but I don't think you're doing yourself any favors with 2-1/2" pipe. It would have more bottom-end grunt with 2" or 2-1/4". It'll run just fine either way, obviously, but the extra grunt would only help.

I'd still look for a local bender that could do it, and save yourself a bunch of money. $700 seems a bit spendy for a side project.

Find a local bender dude!

I had full length 2.5" duals custom built and installed on my New Yorker for $250!

I would NEVER pay for an exhaust system from a box. I've put on half a dozen of them from three different brands, Dynomax, Magnaflow and Edelbrock and EVERY ONE of them needed tweaking and overall fit like shit in my opinion.

Save yourself some big cash, do some phoning around and asking people and get your ass to a local bender and keep your money in your community. :)

The last dual system I priced out was $500 and that was with freakin flowmasters. The only thing they ever sounded good on was a 5.0 Stang Around here, unfortunately, I haven't gotten any feedback yet for anyone that can do decent dual exhaust.

Everything I've read on the TTI has been good, I'll pay a little extra for a quality system. Years ago I bought a Summit system for a Chevy truck, and it fit fine. I haven't had an issue with any direct fit system that I bought or any customer brought into the shop. I'm not paying $500 or more for a crush bent exhaust when for $200 more I can get mandrel bent with correct hangers and hardware.

Well, when you consider that the Flowmasters are not only expensive in the first place, and that the shop is marking them up beyond what most outlets charge, $500 isn't surprising. Probably nearly half the cost of the $500 exhaust system is the mufflers alone!

Even crush-bent 2-1/2" dual exhaust is complete overkill for that car, unless you plan to build it and go racing. There's a big price difference between 2-1/4" and 2-1/2" pipes, too, as the larger pipes are harder to bend and fit to the car. Personally, I'd go with a the smaller pipes from a local shop after doing some research, and use quiet mufflers. It's a family car, not a street racer, and you'll have more usable powerband and better economy with the smaller exhaust, period. Do the digging. You will find the right shop with the right guy, and you'll save a ton over the TTi system... which means more green you can put toward your actual project--you know, the one of which you have a huge tattoo on your left arm!

I'll do some looking around, and I'll supply my own mufflers. Most of the choices around here are blowmasters or glasspacks, a big NO either way. My redneckedness has limitations and an obscenely loud exhaust where it doesn't belong is one of them. Goerlich Xlerator is high on my list with Dynomax being a close 2nd. Maybe I'll check the place Spawn recommended, after that dunno. Most of the shops around here are Mexican owned/run and MOST can't do much beyond "dual" exhaust on a truck.

Flowmaster is kind of like chivy in it's inflated worth, the reasoning behind it is as mysterious as the Bermuda Triangle :D

The Charger is patiently waiting it's turn.
