I'm not tossing them, just not running them. That look, right now, isn't me. I may change in a few years, once she's restored.
 
We have a guy locally that could probably tie a 3" pipe into a pretzel without kinking it. Most towns have one of those types hanging around... it'll probably just take a while to find him.


That's Mike at the local Minute Muffler here. He will build you a complete dual exhaust just from eyeballing it.
 
I've worked with a guy like that, I have no idea where he's at any more though. :(

I'm thinking the TTI is going to be the way to go for mine. Even if I have to locate HP manifolds, no headers on this beast.
 
I've never been a fan of headers. I know they have there place...but I prefer stock HP manifolds.
 
I rounded up a left side HP manifold 2951865, cheap, has a crack but very repairable.

Big issue, from left...



Smaller issue, at least for the moment...
 
if i knew what hp manifolds looked like theres a high probability of finding them in this cleanup...we need to make whatever money we can off this stuff just to pay for fuel
 
The top LH aide manifold in the picture is for B-body...not a C-body. Not sure if the back exit that it has would interfere with the C-body steering column or not.

This is the LH side one you need...this is a 70/71 Hp manifold.

I could've sworn one of the C-body HP manifolds was used on the '75-up big-block B-bodies. I just can't remember which side. :doh:

I have a set of those 75 and later HP-ish manifolds....they are not the same....similar kind of, but more of a med flow then a true HP manifold.
 
I've got one of those 70/71 c-bod left HP manifolds hanging in my garage. :shifty:
