They are U.S Wheels, i gotta say they look evil on the cuda in person [smilie=a:

Thanks, motor has about 600miles on it so far and is runnin strong, guesstimated about 360-380 or so at the 'flexplate'

Close enough. They don't match anyway :D Those are nice lookin' wheels though. Those tires look pretty mean on the back too.

That is a nice cuda love the look, both the wheel tire combo and the 318 sweeet!

question how did you upgrade the 318 to that level?

Sorry if I missed the build up I also was away from MoParNuts

Lost wages? I made $26 an hour this mornin, that isnt too bad for a 17 year old that just has to pay for gas [smilie=e: lol

Well, since i killed 2nd gear two days ago ive been driving my 2speed 904. LOL, lil 318 took it out. So im rebuilding my spare 904 with a TF-2 shift kit next week. Then rims/ties, and i will run it at the track with the open 2.76 rear and see how she does [smilie=e:

If you are really making those numbers, thats not really a good combo on trans model and final drive ratio. Taller gears will put less stress on the smaller trans and unless you are planning a long trip with it will improve mileage. And now you installed taller tires which drops ratio even further. Jeez wild one, WTF is THAT???????????????????

The tool that I work on that grows the glass between metal layers on micro chips 1500W of RF on each chamber and lots of toxic gasses. HDP CVD

Wow why so tall of a gear defeats all the work in the motor. Rest of package look so well ballenced I expect you will not get out of 2nd at the track.

While you have the trans out you might see if you can get a lower first gear and upgrade the trans, what rear end I hope not a 7.25 you might get by with a 8.25 but I ran a 727a and and a 8.75 behind my 318

Why so tall of a gear? Because its what i have, and currently its working just fine. At 17 and i can't just go drop $500 on a 3.91 nice clutch Suregrip 3rd member for my 8 3/4. So i gotta do it one thing at a time, just isn't going to happen overnight, first i got the motor sorted out, now the trans, im going to need new tires so i gotta get those, so the rear end will hold up until thats all done....

And as far as the trans, i think the 3.91s that i will be putting into it once i get a 'grip' will make up for any gear changes in the trans. Its getting a TranStar rebuild and a TransGo TF-2 Shift Kit. (On its way).

Sorry i can't afford to mod my car as quickly as you'd like me to....i am fully aware that the gears are holding a lot back... [smilie=e: [smilie=a:

I used to work in that area hauling scrap from different mines and there used to be a pretty decent junk yard in Tonopah, mabeye if you get over that way you could scrounge up a better gearset. Even 3.23s would be an improvement. Your dad must be a good wrench also- if I was closer I would enjoy helping but all I can do is give advice. Transgo 2 is an excellant choice. i

Yea, vegas junkyards arent the best. pricey and they dont keep much when it comes to old cars. Had a 71ish charger there for about a week and a half. They just roll em in roll em out. Actually i have more of a 'good wrench' than my dad, my buddy that i met off Moparts.com actually came over for about 2weeks, after work, on weekends, etc to help me build the motor. Cudant thank him enough [smilie=e: [smilie=e:
