Looks excellent. I looks like the lift was invaluable in your reato, I need to buy one.
Yes it is! When I first decided to get one I was concerned about how much I would use it when I looked at the cost, which was around $3500.00. I looked at several brands, Bend Pak, Rotary, and Ben Pearson. Settled on the Ben Pearson, 9000 lb assymetrical (means you can open the doors when car is up on lift) as it was available at my local auto parts store, so shipping and installation was included. Plus I favor buying things locally as you have a place to go back to if you have problems. I had one minor glitch with it but they came out and fixed it promtly.
As of now I wonder how I've ever gotten along without one as it eliminates the "down and under", "up on top" back and forth of a lot of jobs. No more jacking, jackstands and a creeper. Just raise it up and presto. It's paid for itself in sweat many times over.
Another good deal discovered was something as simple as an oil change. I got one of those rollaround oil drain cans. Now I just roll it up in the pickup and off to the local recycling center to dump it. Usually once a year as opposed to every time I changed oil.
If your budget can afford one, I'd recommend it!
One thing...they come in two varieties depending on the heigth of your ceiling. One has the equalizing cables and hydraulic lines running under a plate on the floor between the legs. The other is a clear floor with them running across the top. The latter is the best IMHO but you need at least 12 foot ceilings to do it. My garage was built to accomidate my motor home hence I had the 12 foot ceilings.
This is a pix right after we installed it and put it to use. Natrually the Roadrunner was the first thing I lifted, the next was the Coors in my hand! Man cannot live by bread alone...he must have beer!
