It's what wifey bought me for an anniversary gift this year....

Found the little one in the Calgary airport years ago when I was still on the road.

Cool!
I think I do need to find a spot for one of those. I have some 3D puzzles of fighters that my grand son and I put together. They take up most of a shelf in the rec room. One of these would in between, rather nicely, I think.

:D I have a ZZTop key chain and a Hemi engine, too. :D
That key chain looks to be much better quality than mine, though. I used mine for a long time so it's dinged up.

So for my contribution today, I will give four days worth of material at once....

Here's a look at Northern farming country in Saskatchewan. These shots were taken on my Great Grandparent's homestead, which is pretty close to where Dippy Wagon grew up.

This homestead is still in the family.

The first pic looks like there's a giant mechanical grasshopper living there. [smilie=2:

Man, I love taking walks through areas like that trying to imagine what took place and how lives were lived. We had a few places like that in our family but time finished the jobs that you seem to have started in your pictures. A grand old two story house we used to stay in during the 50s has finally succumbed to Mother Nature and is no more. The barn long ago did the same trick but a thresher and steel bodied wagon are still there....barely.

Great pics nodda.
I love old farm shots, where you can look at things and almost imagine what life was like and the work that went on.

Got any more of them?

That out by the lake there Nodda?

Nope - the farm out by Good Spirit Lake is wifey's family.

This is my Dad's family - near Endeavor..maybe 20 minutes drive from your folks place. My Great Grandparents homesteaded there after fleeing the Ukraine & communist rule. It's where my Grandmother grew up - she is now buried nearby. My Dad grew up in Lady Lake, just a few miles down the road from your family's place...my Grandfather was the elevator agent there for decades until he retired & relocated to Preeceville with my Grandmother.

I spent a lot of my childhood holidays with my Grandparents in Lady Lake.

Anyways, the homestead still belongs to my Dad's Uncle - although it's about to be passed down to his son, who intends to keep it in the family for another generation.

I've more scenery pics to come, but for now how about some more road going machinery. Mr. 6pk should appreciate this one.

Early 70's CB750...

I'm always impressed at how many 70's vintage Honda bikes I see around here during the summer months. Must have been a high-water mark for the company for sure.
