OK what car parts do you want Santa to bring?

i could go for a wrecked tesla......fresh idea..and wifes onboard, and pushing for it

otherwise..anything to finish my lloyd , ramcharger or ramp truck

Power window switches for the NewPorker.
At least the 4-switch unit for the driver's door. Maybe a full set - just because.

And a sending unit for the gas tank.

A full summer's supply of racing gas for the Hemi. Dat chit ain't cheap, and it gets angry without it.:(

I literally can't store the ones I have now... still, another couple of LA crankshafts, anything W2 related, or more sets of small-block BME rods would be welcome here.

I'm getting back the Pistol Grip that came out of my first Challenger when I sold it back in 1989. I've owned almost 34 years, but it's been on loan since 2005 in a friend's Charger. He found a different gorgeous original so that I can put mine in the Challenger I have now. I'm pretty excited about that.

Hardest thing this year is figuring out what to get for my dog, the one in the middle. Chews through all her toys except the orbee toys.

A clear a definitive answer from the Canada and USA border services, to the "No title" issue that Alabama has put me in with regards to the Superbee.

Something old and cool to drive, I don't have time to tinker with anything these days. Hopefully get back to the Valiant in the next couple years.

Have you actually contacted the State of Alabama and explained your situation to find out if a title can be issued? There's a big difference between "will not" (in the State's titling law) and "can not". As I mentioned in the thread about the car, very few people in GA were aware that it was entirely possible to get a title simply because nobody's ever done it. And there I stood, with a fresh GA title for a "non-titleable" car... and remember, Alabama is sort of Georgia's state joke.

I take it you're working a lot more these days. Between work and a gaggle of kids, and it's no surprise your time's already spent. Time I've got, room is another thing entirely.

Ministarter, 100 amp generator, new H4 inserts that i put LED lights in, its bloody dark here but now at least i can see, for some reason they are illigal

go HID or better yet projector and HID

LED's suck and have a limited range

btw there ARE actualy LED milspec DOT approved headlights for our cars/trucks..but its a new sealed unit not a replacement bulb

They're illegal because they blind oncoming drivers.

It's not any darker there than it is anywhere else in the world at night.
But its dark longer than many other places, today the sun goes up at 08:45 and down 14:52, i wish i lived closer to the ekvator....

tho for me HID and projectors are a MUCH MUCH better option as they cast the light much further ahead, id rather see a mile down the road "good" than see 100 feet at "high detail" and nothing past it

I did contact the department of motor vehicles and spoke with the head of titling and explained my situation and said I was more then willing to pay a one time, over priced issue of a title. Best they said they could do for me is a letter issued on State letter head with the vehicle description, VIN and reg/insurance number(s).

My Provincial insurance agency has said they are OK with it, along with a notarized Bill of Sale, to get it Registered in BC. I just need the Border Services to say they will accept it as an "Alternative title document" they mention on their websites.

I finally got a response to my E-mails, but all they did was link me to their websites and all the vague information that lies within.

cow if you need to run it thru my place, and have me convert from bill of sale to title..i don't mind so long as someone foots the bill

I really appreciate the offer!! If all else fails I will contact you and we can try and figure out how to go about this. (y) And of course I would pay any and all fees pertaining to the titling and registration. ;)

I'd think either situation would work for you, however having 69.49998 involved might work out to your advantage, if for no other reason than it could be done in advance of the car's arrival (if it's anything like MI, anyhow). Something like, you pay for the car and he mails the bill of sale and registration to 69.5. He sets about getting the title whilst you head down to pick up the car. By the time you get to his place with the 'Bee in tow, he's got a signed title in hand for you to present at the border.

On the other hand, you have different fingers.

But if you can get advance approval from the border boys, that's a lot less screwing around in the long run. You just need to know that there won't be any ugly surprises beforehand. Based on personal experience, trying to accomplish something like this on government interwebs is nigh-on impossible. You need to get on the phone, with a human. If the person to whom you're speaking cannot answer the question directly, tell them to transfer you to someone that can. Barring that--and this is what I had to do--get whatever passes for your representative on the phone. Tell him/her what you're doing, and you're trying to do everything by the letter of the law but all you're getting out of the bureaucracy is a runaround. "I need one person who can get me the right forms and process so that I have all my paperwork in order when I get to the border. Can you please get me the number of that person?" I'll bet he/she can, it's not a huge stretch for them to do it, and that person works for you (the voter/constituent) It took almost 22 months of chasing the Michigan government around (websites, automated phone menus, and know-nothing bureaucratic middle management before I spoke to my senator. He got back to me with a phone number in under half an hour. The woman on the other end told me, "Don't do what the website tells you unless you never want to see your original paperwork again. That's insane... they need to fix that. Here's what you should do..." and sho' nuff, within 10 days everything was squared away and I had my paperwork. That was for a birth certificate (don't ask, this story's long enough) which is a tad more monumental than simply buying a car when you consider the ramifications of issuing a false/incorrect one.

Another option? Call Peter Klutt at Legendary Motorcar. Seriously. He's got to be an old hand at this sort of thing by now; maybe he'd help a fellow Maple-Leafer turn the pole barn into his own Dream Car Garage. Fun fact: He's a guy, same as you or me. He just happens to have a lot more kickass rides on hand. Then again, he could be an asshole... only one way to find out. 😁

He's not.
Having met him a time or two, I can say the guy is a massive gearhead, and will help just about anyone if he can.
But, he is a pretty busy guy, so a bit of a wait time might be involved.
