I'm going to try something a little different this week.
(Our regular source appears to be hacked and wants to give away an iPhone to everyone that visits...)

This is the whole post. There's nothing else at the source link about this particular car, but the link is given in order to show credit.

There are many outstanding "Firsts" and "Lasts" in the Brothers Collection, but this car is a "First" twice, and a "Last" Once! This is the very first 1971 Dodge Charger Hemi, which is also the first year for the new body style, and the last year for the 426 Hemi engine! Being the pilot car, this one was not supposed to be sold to the public, as there are certain elements of the car that are not production ready. However, it made it our of the factory alive, and was even sold new a Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. It's a very cool story, and an even cooler car.

Only thing I found wrong with the narration of the car was the fact that he mentions that the air grabber hood would pop up automatically when you stepped on the throttle hard. Other then that it was not a bad presentation of the car.

I had to step back and remember that this is being dumbed down for those who are perhaps not a mopar nut....;)

The whole point of the Ramcharger hood--stoplight intimidation--would've been lost if it had been throttle-activated. One thing to remember when you see these videos: they're put together by a bunch of GM guys who hardly know their own shit, much less ours. One of the guys that's been a tech advisor and/or commentator on a lot of these I know personally. He's several years older than I am and a hardcore Pontiac guy. I've forgotten more about Tin Indians than he ever knew and he was (is?) Year One's go-to guy on Ponchos. For the guys that make these, he's a go-to "musclecar expert" (usually credited as such) and will always say a bunch of wrong or inaccurate stuff on-camera. Don't get me wrong--he's a great guy--he just really doesn't know shit.
