I too, may be moving!

Yuppers. Guess the wife has a stitch in her pants about moving, unbeknownst to me.
Came home the other day and said she went through a nice house....would I "take a look?"
I did. Girl has taste, I must say. Good thing she has a job. This retired guy couldn't buy it. ;)
6900 finished square feet, 1/2 acre lot, in town.....triple car garage, but smaller than what I have. :(
Lottsa room though. My 7 year old seems to think it is cool.
Dunno if or when we are going to put an offer in, she is willing to play the waiting game, and God knows, if anyone knows real estate, it is my darling April. :) We shall see! :)

LOL!
I was really hoping we could get a 4 car, or at least a double deep 3 car....but oh well, the rest is pretty cool. ;)

Wow! A friggin mansion huh? [smilie=a:

Sounds nice. [smilie=c: Perhaps you will share a few pics if a deal is made? [smilie=e:

I have your solution!
Surely, with that much square footage, there is a spare bedroom??
So, make it your "Spare parts storage" room![smilie=e:

Okay, Okay, I guess I've been living in a place where that doesn't matter for too long. :D

Good Luck in whatever you choose to do.

Mark.

Actually Mark, the stairs from the garage go to a room suitable for parts. Unfortunately, it may have to store my body parts if I fill it too fast.

Can I have your old house????
I'll convert to Canadiese [smilie=bunny.gif]

XL, that's the wrong kind of body parts to be putting there.
jodaddy, your avatar..

MESMERIZING!!

Mark.

On the house....
Canadese isn't hard to learn...just be a polite, passive American. :D:D

BTW, aren't they Canada-Geese? :D

Here's some words that my realtor told me when I looked at a larger house: is it too much house for you? Might take that into consideration ;) Gotta furnish all that, gotta heat/cool all that. For just the family you have, seems a little large but hey, it's your (wife's) money :D

Thanks MM, but if you recall, we own a few Re-Max offices and a mortgage company...trust me, we have been there. :)
Besides that, buying new furniture is half the fun, right? :D
We will only be living in about 5000 sq ft of it, and maybe using a good portion of the basement to house my elderly mother. ;)

There's gotta be more than wife working and you retired. Money laundering? eGouge scams? Nigeria XL money orders? 6900 square feet? We played street baseball in less area. And were glad we had it. Sometimes we had to sell our internal organs for the privledge of paying to play street baseball on that area. We had to walk uphill 20 miles each morning, go to school for 10 hours, work for 15 hours, sell our insides, walk uphill 25 miles back home, dad would kill us, and if we were lucky we could play street ball on 2500 square feet of pirhana infested street.

Living at home with mom still? Oops. Sorry :D

Buying new stuff is fun but I ran out of money quickly doing that so used had to do for most of it :(

Nah, my mom is just reaching an age (73) where it is harder for her to deal with living at the farm all year, so this way we can accomodate her, and when the weather is nicer she can toddle to and fro between my house and hers.
MM, buying used furniture or using hand me downs is perfect! Nothing to feel bad about there....we all do or did it. hell, we still go "shopping" at my mother in laws.
We are pretty fortunate that we are in a place now, after many years of pinching, that we can do this sort of thing. Makes it much more fun, not having to worry so much! :)

6900 sq feet? [smilie=2:

Holy $hit....I've got 2300 under air conditioning (heated square feet).....that means mine would fit in yours 3x...not incliding my garage and porch. total of 3100 under the roof. All of a sudden I feel very cramped. :D
