A game of leapfrog.

Took the RR to barneys today to make some power cables for the cut-off switch and on the way home Z and I stopped at Culvers for lunch. Sitting in the parking lot was a Boss Hoss motorcycle [smilie=c: I had never seen one in person and I was impressed. [smilie=e: The idea of tooling around with a V/8 purring between your legs gets me all a tingle. [smilie=:: The gas tank on this thing is friggin HUGE but the bike still looks good as a complete package. [smilie=c:

Anyhow when we left it was still there and I was hoping to meet the owner, little did I know we would meet up eventually. [smilie=w:
After a stop for some shopping and on the way home I spotted the beast at a stoplight directly ahead going in the same direction as me. [smilie=i: I pulled up behind and once the light changed we both made the left turn onto the main highway(4 lane) and he hit it. [smilie=e: We both very quickly hit 55 and leveled off.

I stayed behind for a sec then pulled up alongside to give him a thumbs up which both he and his gal returned, all the while everone is grinning like fools. :D At this time I felt some more fun was needed and floored it causing the RR to leap forward like a scalded cat and bark out it's intensely loud exhaust note. [smilie=e: I slowed back down and he followed for a mile or so then pulled up alongside, looked over at me and with a big grin gave his throttle a healthy twist for blast from the nearly non-existant pipes coming off his engine. [smilie=e: [smilie=e:

At the next light we hit I was turning right for a ride down on of my favorite backroads and he continued on straight. We stopped side by side smiled and waved and as I made the right turn I gave the RR a quick sidestep with a stab of the go pedal and could see him chuckling in my rear view mirror. [smilie=c:
We made our way to the next town on the backroad and as we headed back towards the main highway we met them coming at us! :D We all waved once again and that was that. Fun. [smilie=::

that must of been fun. I seen one of those Boss bikes and they are wild to see. the Runner was faster though. [smilie=bunny.gif]

Sounds fun! I dunno about that Boss hog though...just not my style. Perhaps if it was a Caterpillar motor...?

i personaly love the idea...and if i had my way would use a mopar 360 and build a quad version..the thought of a V* between the legs...good god [smilie=e: ...time for clean drawrs

[smilie=e: those are insanely cool

dont violate the poor thing

There is one of those in town here. I talked to the guy one day and asked how the torque of the engine doesn't tip it over. He said the trany is designed to turn in the opposite direction of the engine so it counteracts it’s self. He then chuckled and said that letting the throttle SNAP into the closed position at speed is very bad. He said the compression of the engine locks the rear wheel and he damn near dumped it at 100 plus when he learned that lesson.

Strapping a saddle to a small block is all it should take...

If you want to make extra for your friends, they make a 502 model too.

Friend of mine saw one of those at Sturgis, with a friggin blower on it no less!! [smilie=2:

I'm going over to Daytona next month for Biketoberfest. They have a showroom out on the strip there. I'll take some close-up pics if y'all want.

During Bike Week this past February, I saw a 502 with twin NOS bottles. I was thinking to myself....who in their right mind would pull the chain on that thing?

They are really cool looking rides, but aren't real functional.

That would be great! [smilie=e:

Interesting machines indeed,I mean really now...a 500 inch big-block thrumming along between your legs? nirvana [smilie=b:

Whos gonna pick up that 500 when she falls lol. Gonna need to have one flared out kick stand so it will not sink in the hot blacktop.
I have seen flathead fords in them and it was a nice ride. But right now the only flat head I own is on my gokart, 5hp B&S baby Yeah! lol.

And again-what about the tomahawk? All V-10,all motor, pure insanity! Its got 4 tires but I guess its a motorcycle.Doesnt turn very well either.Jay Leno has a bike with an apache helicopter engine in it,has a 2 second lag in acceleration and shutdown but weight to horsepower ratio about goes off the scale. I rode one at Sturgis last year or the year before, i cant remember. I didnt want to get on it cause i was afraid i'd either flip the bike right or backwards.

I wouldnt want to ride very far on one either, cause even after about 10 minutes you kinda walk alittle bowlegged. I'm a firm beleiver in Overkill, but this is absurd.
