A game of leapfrog.

its not the fact that its a bike its the fact that its a V8 crammed between the legs and planted to the road via tires

You want to ride an impressive bike? Go test drive a Triumph Rocket 3. You wont be sorry.

Impressive specs on that beast [smilie=e: ,but I'm not to thrilled about the looks. [smilie=d:
I dont mind the looks, its awful weird seeing 3 tailpipes though. the funny thing is that even though it weighs 700+ pounds, its all slung so low you cant feel it. On the 28 miles Triumph test ride, we were going through twisties at 80 mph, at 3200 or so rpm. the damn things dont redline till 8.5k i think it was. thats alot of gap right there.

To me, the Victory Vegas blew every Harley i've ever ridden away, and this triumph blew the vegas away. now if i only had 16k to buy one...

Harleys are overated.Relegated to a mere status symbol, and just look how many folks have status these days. [smilie=r:
Victory it seems to me has taken that classic look to the next level and built a better bike. * Ducks and runs like heck from hail of beer cans and wallet chains from Harley faithfull...*

*ahem* [smilie=e:

Triumph surely dares to be different and I like 'em for it. Need to see the Rocket in person perhaps before passing final judgement. Would love a test drive but alas no Triumph dealer in my area. [smilie=s:

My favorite limy was the 1974 Noton 850 Commando I rode during my nonharley years. My first Harley got stolen before I ever got to ride it from the guy two blocks away that was working on it.I rode anything but for many years. The Norton turned 11s right out of the box-was the fastest production motorcycle built that year.Only other bike that could even give me a run was a 500 Kaw.Wish I still had the ol snortin norton, cam ground pistons,13 to 1 compression, could eat a rear tire in a day if you were being bad. I agree, the only downside to getting a Victory over a Harley is that you dont become an automatic member of the "I just paid way too much money for my bike" club.

I thought the Victory Hammer looked terrible till I saw it in pictures, so you might like it.

This is my current ride. I bought it in 93 with 4000 miles and have only put 30,000 miles on her since. My wife and I used to tour all over the US on our other Wings before we moved back to Florida. Now it takes 5 hours just to get out of Florida, so we don't ride near as much as we used to.

She is a 1991 Anniversary Edition GL1500 (horizontally opposed 6 cylinder motor) GoldWing. Loaded....with AM/FM Cassette, CB, Intercom, Air Ride, Cruise Control, Integrated braking system, Reverse (yup! Reverse) and custom leather Corbin seat. It's my Cadillac on two wheels. [smilie=w:

A friend of mine has a Boss Hoss 350SB model. He says when your passing a car with that thing, you wanna make sure you get completely in the other lane before you get on it! [smilie=e:

Oh, and they are designed & built right here in Ontario Canada.

Yes I've seen the Viper bike...and it is awesome.

Had to dig way back in the archives for this thread didn't ya. Thanks for sharing Wing, nice to hear from ya. :)

Now thats a cool story. ;) Reminds me of the time a loud Harley was next to me when I had the Dart. We both got on it just playing around and there was a parked car in the right lane that we both knew that one of us would hit the car as we were side by side. And we both backed out of it at the same time. Then we looked at each other and just smiled. I think we both liked each other's ride and were just having a little fun. That sounds like what you were doing also.......having some fun messing with a cool bike. Ron
