6 or 7 years without a Dart and now I have 2 :)

STARTING OVER
Hello again !!!!
So I sold my Dart way back when, and have been trying so hard to get back into a muscle car ever since.
In Nov I picked up a rust free basket case 1970 Swinger 340 that was sitting in a garage for 22+ years
Before I got too much into it I found another one, 1971 Swinger 340. The 71 is complete and I drove it home when I bought it, thankful for our spring like Jan. in SW Ontario. We had just had a week of rain to wash away the salt and the day she came home was + temps and full sunshine.

Now the fun starts to make this little Dart over with my likes.
It needs exhaust work so first things first, I just picked up a pair of 2.5" Flowmaster 40 series muff's and a set of ceramic coat headers.
I'm getting some polished stainless 2.5" pipe and some 2.5" electric cutouts.
The system will be polished 2.5" all the way out the rear exiting the factory style chrome tips.

Anyone in need a parts for your Swinger / Demon, I'm parting out the 1970

If the '70 is a real H-code car (since the '71 obviously isn't), you might be doing better to fix that one. It'll have more value if you ever need to sell off again.

Welcome back! And yes, we want peekchers!

Good lookin Dart! The '71 isn't bad either :D

The '71 looks like a nice toy. The '70 doesn't look like a tough project, body seems decent from what I can see.

Ya its a solid car, pretty straight. I stripped it to bare metal and shot a coat of primer on it for now until I decide what to do with it.

Not sure if you guys all remember me from back when I came here 9 or 10 years ago.
Here's my old ride from back then..............

i do remember a guy that lived in Wallaceburg from way back, but i was very fresh at the forums at that time frame.

Now i know who "Peter Greeter the Meter Reader" is :-)

Did the hood stay with the car when you sold it, or did it go back on the Nova from which it was taken? :bwuhaha:

Seriously, it looks like it was a damned-fine ride and it sucks that you had to sell it. I have to be honest, though, as a buyer that hood would've been the first thing to go.

LOL, Ya I wanted to be different so I had the hood custom made, FG bolt on hood with a 4.5" cowl induction
I was the only Dodge in my area that had a hood like it for the first summer.
Following year I go to the drag strip and holy sheet, 40% of the Mopars had a cowl hood; Challengers, Cuda's, Duster's, Dart's

You would be happy to know tho Jass, I destroyed the hood just before I sold the car. Well kind of anyway. I put on a tunnel ram with dual quad's and cut a big hole in the center of the cowl. The guy that bought it had plans to change it back to single carb so I gave him a 340 hood with the car.

I wish I could find the guy that bought that car. I'd like to talk to him about the car. Never seen the car again after it left my house. I sure hope he didn't wreck it !

oops, notta neon.........

So is this the right car I'm thinking of out Florence way ?..... The milk man
69 Dart with a few shots of green paint on it, sitting in the garage

Cool! Another Dart on the forum! Similarly to you, I just picked up a 70 Dart (that needs much more love than yours, btw ;)) because I have been itching for another classic since I sold my Challenger back in 2005...or so. If you're really going to be parting it out, I am definitely interested in a few goodies. Particularly the hood scoops, wiper arms (if you have them, but it doesnt look like it) ebrake handle, turn signal switch and pside rear quarter regulator. I know there are more things, but I can't think of them at the moment. Any chance that guy was a manual? :)
