6 or 7 years without a Dart and now I have 2 :)

If that '71 is a real 340 car hang on it. It's exceptionally rare as there was only a handful built and only for two Western Canadian Dealers. (Edmonton Ab and Regina Sk.) Crestview Chrysler in Regina is the dealer wifey & I deal with to this day. Got most of the mopar-specific parts for the Demon there.

Anyways, There is a very slim chance it's the real deal - the VIN should tell you. If it is, you have scored big time.

No my 71 is a 318 car with a 72 340 in it.

The 71 came with the original bill of sale from Huntsville Dodge in Alabama.
The buyer ( Joe W. Miller ) traded in a 1970 Swinger + $1049, for this 71 Swinger with A/C on 8/24/71
Also found the original warranty card in the owners manual with all the same info, buyer name, VIN, dealer, purchase date

You don't happen to have vin numbers for either of your 70s do you? I'm curious if Dad's is still alive. Sold it in late 70 early 71. Last known location was Guelph, MANY years ago. Sweet 71 you got there.
