1967 dart

Dartie is now green.
Waiting for the buff and cut now.
Then it should be back for assembly
Painter said it is probably the brightest colour he has ever painted

you have no clue how much this pleases me, the day i dragged her home, there was but a single plan to build it up as a tribute to a guy i know who taught me alot on mopars in a very short time, who totaled his kickin ass street racing, walked away with only scratches but the dart was so totaled nothing could be saved, i helped him cut n buff that ole girl as well as the 8 3/4 swap and front brakes, he taught me how to build engines, supplied my first doaner car showed me to my macheinist i still use

his dart started off life beat and factory black, then went green, then got that same hood, while his was a 68..who cares...and while youve got a lil more in the motor and painted the hood to match vs going black out on it, i muchly approve, the only other thing id do is go wild on the tires/wheel with aluminum slots with something like a 225 up front and a 275 in the rear, at which point its a clone from 93 to me

I have debated going aluminum rims but 15x10 and 7.25 backspace are hard to find or I don't want to spend the cash. The steel dog dish keeps the car looking mild
The scoop plans to be black to match the bee stripe on the back.
Back tires are 325s and if I recall 215s on the front.

yeah slots can be a bitch to find, and while i adore slots, they dont look so good on fish, they look perfect on darts n val's

Wow! That green sure looks good on your Dart :)

Stupid photobucket didn't let me see many other pics, but the final product should be saweeet!

The last week has been very productive
Engine bay cleaned up.
Engine stuffed.
Wiring all finished up. Just plugs to attach when throttle body installed.
Lots of tedious stuff to work on this upcoming week.
:giggedy:

The k was painted originally.
I will probably go and paint it again later.

I did take it up to a local car show on the weekend. Found out the body guy removed the wiper pivots. I washed the car and found a giant puddle in the footwell afterwards. Dash cluster was drenched and car would not start.
So looking closer. The bolts were not tightened down afterwards :-(
