    As far as you think, it's an aftermarket cam. That in itself will use more gas.

    It was never meant to be a gas mizer, it's a high performance pony car. On the highway you 'might' get 15 on a good day.

    If the penatrant doesn't help then heat around the center hole with a propane torch. (repaint it after 🤔 ) Then, while hot beat the rim visciously with a maul. You can thank me after. :giggle:

    Those plugs look great. The colorization is very consistant all the way down the outer electrode.

    Simple solution, run 2 chains across intake bolts. 4 bolts & 2 chains total.

    Run a piece of chain across 2 intake bolts. If they are at least 5/16ths to 3/8ths, it's good to lift. Just make sure that the chain is pressed tight to the heads. I've lifted 440's using 2 carb bolts, which are 5/16ths.

    Prop something like a paint stir stick under it and prop it up slightly above where you want it. Then carefully apply heat with heat gun or hair dryer to soften plastic. Allow to cool and check it out.

    WD40 will dry up over time, whereas oil won't. For more permanent lubing go with oil.

    With things like that I usually try to squeeze some wheel bearing grease into it before installation. Then work it back'n'forth for a while, while adding more grease. Whether it helps or not, I don't know. But it gives me a little peace of mind.
