The Wrangler recall revealed last week is now official, and there is more information available — including the number of vehicles affected (18,055 in the US, and, we estimate, around 2,000 in the rest of the world), some of which are still at dealers, held back by a stop-sale order.
The problem, again, is a misplaced weld in the front track-bar brackets, which can cause “reduced steering capability.” The recall should begin by November 17,
