Behind my Polysphere making engine noises and
I just won a free trip around Tokyo from a new tourism company.

More often than not, I am skeptical of such online contests, and would've posted it as a good laugh, but I know this ones real, because its being started by one of my contacts (who also offered me a job in it when I move back to Japan, they need more English speaking guides since he's the only one out of the three that work and run the business).

He knows I'm a student and it won't be until later this year I'll be arriving there, but I've helped get more business by doing one of those (Hey! I won, you can too! Kind of things. I was the second person out of 5 to win, so I figured I'd be nice and share the wealth.)

So yeah, when ever I want to, I can call him up, and I can get a free four to eight hour tour around Tokyo to anywhere, as he puts it, "we can show you the best of the city....or the worst, all by your request."

This rocks, cause when I arrive in Japan I'll probably be broke as hell and I'll be armed with a digital camera :giggedy: :giggedy: :giggedy:

I don't know about a Fuji camera, or Fuji film, but I will see Mt. Fuji when I'm there, but thats in a different direction than the city (if I get there "in the right season" I could climb Mt. Fuji, but I might not).

On top of that, I already have at least two welcoming parties planed for me when I get there, one by the guy who is running the business I just won the tour from, the other is another friend. I have a feeling that number will rise to four since I'll soon know who my host family is, and the fact that I'll be the legal drinking age over there, so I'll have a party with the students too.

Damn...all this partying, drinking, and wandering through a strange city...it'll be a wonder if I get any school work done :shifty:

Look for "base heads" near the US military installations... You will get laid by a beautiful japanese chick almost instantly.

I grew up there but I have seen and heard a few things that I understood once I got a little older... :xl:
