Thems some fancy bars right there. [smilie=b:

yep,but I didn't put the bars and nitrous system in it,the 383 came out of a 66 VIP,that I couldn't give away, for a year,I bought the car for $300 in NC a few years back,it came in a pkg. deal with 3 real RR's,,,it was in primer when I bought it,I tossed the 318,I sold it to punisher productions and they had me paint it black, then changed to yellow,It didn't even end up in the movie, they got a pile of GTO's from somebody,,I'll never forget the VIN# on this car, last 6 were 140440......I think I still have a couple pics when it left my place,,it also had a flawless black bench interior and it's an a/c car.

Now you know why the limelite on it now ,looks really yellowy!!.........lol.....they just went right over the sunfire that was already fresh on it......the car was nearly toast,it is a totally rustfree survivor, except for a couple small patch's in the center trunk pan,If I would have had more time,it would have been back halved onto the omaha orange '69 Hemi RR in the background of the pic.........One day the punisher production scouts were following leads for cars, and showed up in the yard, looking for Hemi RR's,for the movie, when they found what real cars were bringing ,they quickly changed their minds to satellites cloned into RR's,I ended up selling them this '68,and the 383 installed, and also,a RR hood installed on it,,,

Ironically, that car is still making me a few side $$$,, here's the steering wheel off of it,,I still have it's original hood,in my shop.,,and a few parts,,I should have advertised the wheel,as the "punisher" wheel...lol..could have squeezed a few more $$$ out of it. item 4523282058 ,,Dave your 'puter expertise plse. and thanks.

Hey, at least it's still on the road. Lots of guys would have carved it up for parts and crushed it, or worse, used it for a rebody as a Road Runner or GTX.

it was originally bought for it's Q panels to repair a 69 hemi RR,,and we found even better ones for the car, this satellite already has an oem replacement Q panel installed a long time ago,,on the passenger side,,I prefer to cut up 4 door rust free donors, but sometimes life doesn't work that way,I'd rather sacrifice a satellite for saving a better car,but to each his own,we never get too many customers wanting to clone a sat, more guy's wanting rustfree stuff for their rusted cars, that's the difference between the salvage biz and the barrett-jackson world,I suppose,,,that's what they are laying around for,in real life those quarter panels, framerails, floorpans and fenders are worth more than the car,....besides,Lots more where that one came from.

Hey, I have nothing against clones, as long as they're not misrepresented... but rebodying is both illegal and immoral. Some cars are just too far gone to save, and swapping numbers doesn't make the new chassis into a different car.

"Lots more where that one came from..." is only a temporary situation. More get crushed every day, or worse yet, wrecked in Dukes of Hazzard movies.

I agree Jass, but nobody mentioned rebody,,removing rustfree quarter panels and framerails is a common everyday practice, no different than ordering crap from Year 1,.......and I kinda' dis agree, any unibody can be fixed, the car shortage is going be due to the lack of people to fix them, and primarily the expense to fix them correctly,(hence, you will see alot more pro street type mopars),,long before they run out,,there are tons of private "yards" full of cars that won't be available for many years, until somebody dies and they are sold off,I know of another 15 acre yard,in the middle of nowhere that has a 71 GTX that was driven ,brand new from NY to fla. and for about 3 months 'til the repro guy's got too close to him ,then he just dumped it,and it hasn't moved since,It's great to have all the production #'s for the cars that chrysler built, but it does no good and they are meaningless,if you don't know how many have survived, and where they are stashed, they will be finding Hemi cars long after we're planted in the ground,, [smilie=e: ,,,that pic I posted is a private yard, with absolutely no public access,,it is 35 acres,12 are mopar B/E only,it has 1 row of '71-72 RR's/chargers door handle to door handle, farther than I can see!....lol.... How many yards like that exist? ........Lot's!!....If that fella' died tommorrow there would be 35 acres of cars for sale pretty quick,,

no public access why the hell ya need so many cars and the roads look well traveled maybe he checks them out everyday. id love to be that guy

hey how do you know whats in there?..eh eh
