With the end of the year coming soon, the desrosiers report shows that FCA is well ahead of the pack in Canada.FCA can thank Ford’s 4% decline in sales and Canadians’ continued loyalty to domestic production forthat news.
This year, Canadian sales are up by 3%, with 1.8 million cars and light trucks sold — that’s 1.1 million light trucks to 675,000 cars (SUVs and minivans count as light trucks). While FCA isonly up by 1%, Ford and Hyundai/Kia have both fallen, and there is a comfortable margin between FCA and #3 General Motors (GM).
FCA enjoys a 15.3% market share; Ford is #2 at 14.6% (in 2014, they beat FCA by around 800 sales). (...) →
