where is the fill hole on an 8 3/4 rear end ??

rav440

gathering parts like a squirrel gathering NUTS
and is one quart of 80-90 gear lube + the additive enough to fill it ?

it will be on the side of the center section itself. i dont know how much it takes to fill it. i just put oil in there until it starts to dribble out of the fill hole. if its a sure grip i always get the additive and add it to the oil.

thanks . stupid me i have the service manual on cd and never thout of looking at it

is KENDALL LIMITED SLIP AXLE ADDITIVE CONCENTRATE ok to use ?

My old physics teacher told me if you put a piece of banana in the rear end when you replace the fluid, it actually helps resist wear in-between the gears. Crazy thought but i guess it works.

Heard and seen a lot of uses for bananas but that is a new one.

Maybe... but he said he was having some rear-end probs and a tech at a shop told him to do it. 10 years later he was still driving the car with no problems.

But then again, theres rumors that he grows mary-jane in his basement. That and he's a well known drunk. He even taught my class how to make beer, and how to distill alcohol.
