I don't fit into either catagory.

Hadda '71 demon 20 years ago & missed it all the time since selling it.

In 1998, I went looking for another demon, or failing that, a duster to buy.

Found neither - ended up with the Dart Sport....I am soooo confused.

As for the Dart I was looking for a nice 67 to 74 A-Body for a mild 383 and found the Dart. But the 63 fell into my lap and it has always been my most favorite Mopar of all other then the 68 SS Hemi Cuda and Dart. Oh and then the Roadrunners. [smilie=b: Ron

I was searching for a 70 super bee or Coronet stumbled into the 68 Charger little rust in one quarter came with a extra motor (440) $700.... took it home.

Then 8 years later stumbled across the 70 Coronet...totaly rust free california car a mile from my house.....$3000...paid to much but I am happy with what I ended up with..

I guess I kinda fall into option 2. I was looking for a car to replace my hail-damaged '82 Firebird. I wanted a Smokey & The Bandit 'Bird and upon searching for those, I found my car. I knew nothing about the car, it just looked nice and seemed like a good price. The guy selling had people from all over the US and Canada phoning but I was the only one to come look at it. I bought it that day and drove it home. That'll be 5 years ago this August.

So, you were looking for a Firebird, ended up with a Camaro... it happens more often than you think. :D

[smilie=a: I went looking for mine 8 years ago. I finally got a garage and wanted a Cuda, went to Indianapolis to get it. I like the car but I'll never buy another site unseen though.[smilie=e:

Hard to say. Half these cars I have out here fell into my lap and I couldnt refuse. The '70 GT is my only exception, as I had been into them and had known about this car for a few years before I traded into it. The Gran Coupe is a matter of both. Really liked '70s (obviously) and was kind of wanting a parts car. Found it for $200 and I couldnt pass it up. The Aspen R/T is pretty much the same deal as the Gran Coupe, not actively searching but wanting one.

The '74 Monaco I have was found at a local JY For Sale, $450 bought it and I've had it ever since. the '78 Monaco was offered to me as part of a 2-car deal for $500, couldnt pass that up!

category # !. well the kids finally grew up enough & were able to somewhat support themselves so the extra cash soon turned into my 73 cuda. i had a very short list of cars i wanted with the e body cuda being #!. my 73 was a real clean straight car to start with.
