I was watching an auction on ebay for a set of 3.55's with pinion bearings, pinion nut, pinion seal, and crush sleeve-all new. This is approaching $300 worth of parts at normal prices. Check out the auction to see what I got it for:

I just hope nothing goes wrong, or the guy tacks on some stupid amount of shipping. There's nothing in his auction saying what the shipping is, and I didn't send him a message asking until about 1/2 hour before it ended. He hasn't responded yet, which is nothing to really worry about.

Well, he just sent me an invoice, and he didn't rape me on the shipping. His shipping charge is $18.08-actually lower than what I expected it to be. He wants a money order, which is yet another sign he's not a shyster.

I can hardly believe I lucked out and got so much stuff I really needed for so little-that all but takes care of the rear axle.

I went and hung out at my machinist's shop some today, and we got my block tanked, the freezeplugs out, headbolt holes chased, and the block decked. Tomorrow it gets bored and hopefully honed, with a torque plate.

I know what, here in the next few days I'll start a progress thread on the valiant. I'm probably gonna tow the car home this weekend, so I'll be able to take some pictures. That way you guys will be able to see how truly slow and ugly it looks. Night night.

I started a board game at half of what they were all bringing(mine is in better shape) ,twice, and won't list again until I "play with it" fire, pestolance, Death and destruction, pics and all .... haha KMA war game collecting freaks.

Ebay is weird like that, some stuff goes way stupid and the same stuff the next day ends up being a killer score for someone. Like that six pack set-up I got, everytime I tried they went way over 3k so I gave up trying, out of the blue I bid 100 over the start of 1800 and ka-ching, only bidder.
