Ok people, This poll really matters. I need your opinions.

I am undecided on what to do with my newest aquisition, A 1951 Chrysler Newyorker Newport. (Newport was what they called the 2dr HT cars, being a yorker, saratoga, or imp) It was also the second highest production NewYorker for 51 at 3654 behind the 4dr sedan at 26 thousand some. Sheetmetal wise, it's solid except for the rockers and some small holes in the rear inner fenders. But it has no chrome, no bumpers, and no interior and engine or tranny. Thoughts of a full on 50's style custom have crossed my mind. What do you think?

Here's a 52 newport, I'd go full custom...

Who cares what you do with it as long as you have fun doing it. What ever you chose, I'm sure it will be cool. You have a hemi for it! How could it not be cool!

I vote mild custom, which doesn't appear. I don't think I'd modify the body much--no frenching, no chopping, no Buick grille. Maybe some tasteful removal of chrome, smoothing and lowering, a cool set of wheels (no baby moons, full discs, or wires, please), and some hip nostalgia drag parts for the hemi... you'd be stylin'.

so how about a pic of what you got to start with????
I agree somewhat with the Doc. except- needs lakes, widewhites and moon discs. maybe lowered or channeled.
