What do ya think?

I got drunk and swallowed my teeth, now
We've all seen multiple years, models and even different brands of cars running a Six-Pak hood. And usually they are painted black trying to emulate the A12 look. Most of the time they look out of place and sometimes even absurd.

I ran across this on-line. Here's a car that could easily made to be a clone, but this guy chose a different route. It's the first time I recall seeing a Six-Pak hood painted body color and I kinda like it. What do y'all think?

doors clearly look painted seperatly

i knew someone with a satty turned RR..with all the 6pk goodies..i think it was a 68 turned 69 ..again painted hood and it looked sharp!..imo they look bettery paint matched

I think he needs to correctly finish the grille with the flat black he saved from the hood. :D

I'm not sure why, but I'm not a huge fan of the Six Pack hood on anything but an A12 car (or clone thereof). It looks like absolute ass on any other body style (especially the '76 Firebird dubbed "Purple Haze" that was for sale at a Marinette WI car lot for about a decade), and after seeing this in the Hemmings section a few days ago it turns out I don't care for it body-colored even on the car for which it was originally designed (which was, in fact, the '69 Super Bee).

I find myself a "purist" on certain things; the Six Pack hood is one of 'em, I guess.

Meh. Opinions. What can you do about 'em?

I like it [smilie=J:

But I also drive a Gold Swinger. Gold Member, Golden Shower... I love GOLLLLD.

I think if you're going to put a scoop like that on a car other than an A12, that's the way to do it.

I don't think I would do that myself, but if I came across a car that already had it, it wouldn't turn me off.

I'm on the fence on this one I guess. It didn't make me think "Oh my God! That's awful!" Nor did it grab me and make me think, "Oh hell yah! That shit looks good!" It really didn't do much of anything for me.
