I saw Snedden talking too, he was biting his tongue but couldn't say much because it's a fundamental flaw in the system. It's easy to find "reasonable doubt" for someone that has been put up on a pedestal by society.
I can see how they passed on the conspiracy (crazy mom) and the molestation (more like 2 kids playing I'll show you mine if you show me yours), but the providing alcohol to a minor charge seemed like a slam-dunk. I guess it was the "to facilitate a criminal act" clause that killed that one.
