Volkswagen is having more than 4,000 of its Golf GTIs and R's recalled due to a problem with the engine cover. The cover could potentially come loose and if it were to come in contact with hot parts in the engine bloc, it can melt and cause a fire.
Is that like the Communist bloc? I don't think I've heard that word since the Berlin Wall came down.
On the other hand, if the engine cover can come in contact with hot parts in the engine block, well, I'm guessing you've already got way bigger issues like "what's this piston doing out here?" or perhaps "I swore there was a head on this engine when I bought it."
