There was no Nova wagon after 1967, so there was no need to compete with a car that no longer existed.
Also, remember the Aussies didn't get any Dart variants. All the Australian Valiants were Chryslers, not Plymouths. The Valiant was the low-line car in the low-line brand in the US, and after continued slow sales on "premium" Valiants like wagons, Signet hardtops and convertibles, etc. it wasn't considered worth continuing those models. Valiant buyers were looking for ultra-inexpensive transport by and large, and those who wanted fancier trim, a pillarless look, or a folding top were steered toward the Barracuda lineup. The '67 Barracuda single-handedly killed "cool" Valiants in the US.
Some Aussies probably complain that they never got any Barracuda variants, A- or E-body, nor any B-bodies, and only one of the ultra-barge C cars: the Australian Dodge Phoenix, which was built through 1973. That car was simply a rebadged similar-year Canadian-model Plymouth Fury converted to RHD.

just think..bring a wagon over and turn it into a dart....that would screw some ppls heads right up at a car show

I'd drive one of those.

A Brazillian Charger would be cool. Very Dart-like as well.

As for a Valiant, sign my up for an Aussie Charger, please and thank you.

ill give ya both of the out of north america chargers....the brazilian one IS a dart with some tweeks..

but after alot of lengthy talks and research....the OZ charger doesnt really share anything with anything..its technicaly an A body but even alot of the normal a body stuff isnt even right or entirely interchangeable ...putting the RHD differances aside..the front suspension and stuff on the fire wall is where it ends..the floor pans arnt even the same

Yeah, I was very close to getting an Aussie Charger when I first started looking for a Charger.
The idea of getting parts scared me off.

It might be easier now. The Internet helps a bit and I have some family in Australia that could help deal with shipping. It might still be expensive, but having an address there can make things easier.

That car did make to this side of the Pacific, but I haven't seen it in a long time.

Here's one from the Aussie books that most have never heard of. During the 60's & 70's Chrysler imported a small amount of re-badged Plymouth's as Dodge's to Australia. Their purpose was to fill a need for a heavy-duty car for towing.

Which, of course, I mentioned above. :D
