I use pieces of scrap paper spread through out the house with little tidbits of info on them. Eventually I gather the old car/truck related stuff up and transfer it to a little black hardcover book...if it's info I think I will need to access more then once every few years...

Same here... so many yellow Post-Its and Carquest note papers in this house. Wallet is full of them too.
My newest trick is using the memo feature on my phone. Should save a tree or three.

I occasionally use the memo function on my phone, along with the "do it now!" convenience of having an alarm attached to it. There's already too much paper around here, since I seem unable to throw away a receipt as inconsequential as one for a candy bar. :wtf:
