Around 90,0002015-16Ram 1500 pickups,most of which are still in dealer hands, are being recalled to inspectand, if needed, to replace their rear axle shafts or rear axles.A supplier did not properly heat-treat axle shafts, increasing wear and possibly overheating the system enough to light the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) warning and, if ignored, to cause wheel separation.
Ram has learnedonerelated accident, but no injuries. The affected vehicles are 2015-2016 Ram 1500s made from mid-June to late September 2015. Customers will be sent notes as to when service can be scheduled; they should contact their dealer immediately if the ABS light goes on. (...) →
