Time to retire..

I don't always drink beer, but when I do
the little red 98 Neon. The kids are getting bigger so the family car had to supersize too. So, in keeping with tradition, we opted for another Mopar.

It has the 3.3 so it should be able to pull a small load, I'd never try to haul a car trailer with it, but it should handle a bike with no problem.

No stow n' go? One of the options I wish we held out for, but the wife wanted a new one right now in '03. Got 86K on ours, 3.3L. She gets 30K out of a set of front pads. Needed a power steering pump and tires @ 65K. Uses no oil. Engine has an odd rattly sound when warm.
Good luck with it. Hope you wife adjusts to the size of it better than mine [smilie=f:.

Stow n go is great if you use the van for moving a lot of stuff around but for comfort the s&g seat leave a lot to desired. The greatest benifit I have with the s&g for my company van is I no longer have to store the seats in m garage. :shifty:

Nice family buggy, best minivan out there IMHO. :)

Sure you can tow a car trailer if you want, problem is your exceeding load/tow rating for the vehicle and putting the safety of yourself and others in jeopardy. :naughty:

My parents have a ’97 with a 3.3 in it and they love they love it. It has 300,000 miles on it and the only major repair has been a trany.

True that. The rear seat pops up and down just like the commercial, but the second seats are a pain in the ass. ie. adjust front seats all the way forward. throw out the floor mats, pull up the floor cover, adjust 2nd seat, (can't remember back or forward) push down head rests, etc etc.

But it is cool to slide 4x8 sheets of plywood or drywall flat on the floor and shut the hatch.

wow the seat is that much of a PITA to remove?!?!?!?!?!...my old 89 you just pull a levver and pop the biotch out..same goes for the second row bucket seat option

Sweet van, man! Think of all the fat chicks we can pick up now!!! what, with my mediocre looks and your average genetalia, we will soooooo be set!! :shifty:

really...nice van. :)

Naw thay ain't tough to get out it just where do you store them? And what if you're out and see something you want to grab?

wich is EXACTLY why i removed the 3rd row seat(its in the attic) and swaped the 2nd row bench for a pair of buckets...a bucket is easy to move out of the way and alot more user friendly to remove.....fairly easy to find another van with 2nd row buckets...even if you cant find the right color the front seats are the same as the rear seats you just need the removeable frames

Actually the wife and I did not want the second row captains chairs, we specifically looked for a car without them. ( one less fight to referee between the boys)
