No variant of the 12V92 was ever installed by Mack, or any other manufacturer, in a roadgoing vehicle. Detroit never bothered to get it certified, since it was designed for use in stationary and marine applications. The 12V71 was as big as it got. Those were rare as hell, even when new. They were replaced as the top-dog roadgoing Detroit by the 8V92T.
12V92TTA? Its badder big brother, the 16V92TTA, was rated at 880-900HP, still shy of the little 5.9L in the article, and only made ~360lb/ft more torque with its extra 18.2 liters of displacement (and additional 3000+lb of mass). :bwuhaha:
