It's not. Click here to report it (I already did). You would think Ebay would contact a local PD about such a thing but I doubt they do.
 
The thing that gets me is that the Toyota owner is admitting to fraud what a dumbass. The dodge charger guy could atleast plead ignorance and say he was just trying to help someone out that needed a tag
 
i need one for my toboggan- i think. anybody has one let me know-it,s a 5 footer wooden toboggan. also need coffee holder for same any colour i can use magic marker to dress it up...

ill be the first to admit that the way im fixing to get plates and tags for my RC once finished aint exactly right but its not on the wrong side of the fence either..since its legitimatly a re-assembled rig..i specificaly used 72-74 parts anywhere i could and coupled them with factory unmarked parts of unknown years...im shooting for a 1972-74 salvage title

i have a vin for a 32 chev pick-up. cab and front fenders to. cab is totally empyy. but the vin is worth --------
 
kansas wanted 3 years back taxes on a 50 dollar car bought in Nebraska. I ran a current 73 valiant tag on it never got ran cuz the duster sure made a funny looking 4 door. Just young, broke, and stupid shit.

yes but even if the cab is trashed..it still could make for a hell of a rod..besides youve got a title for it.......hmmm my 354 hemi would look nice in it all rat rodded out

Still up 2 days after I reported it. I guess Ebay is getting enough money out it and aren't going to remove it.
 
I don't think it's illegal to sell this kind of stuff, it's just illegal to do _something_ with it. As a pure collector item it's clean.
Now announcing on the internet you used said items to commit insurance fraud........

Actually VIN number plates are among the prohibited items in the list of no-no's
