Quick thanks to Doc for the moniker...
Anyway, bought it out of a junkyard just over 2 years ago. Brought it into the garage on the material cart it sat on most of that time and set it up on some stage supports and lumber I happened to have lying around. In all her glory-

Here's the car that has volunteered to donate a good portion of its front suspension, torsion bars and fenders. I have also picked up the filler panel that mounts below the grille Doc and Stretch located.

I've already cut out the spare tire well in the trunk, I'm planning on using a '69 Mustang style gas tank set up for an EFI application. I saw a friend of mine do the same thing on a '68 Valiant.

Let me go back a bit, I did this at this time to keep myself occupied, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in July. Everything as far as that is going great! Caught it early stage 2, started treatment back in August, and she's just done her 4th chemo treatment this past Monday with 2 more to go. At the completion of chemo with a month or so recovery time she will have a lumpectomy and reconstruction done. When she is able to lift her arm above her head, approximately 4-6 weeks later, she will have radiation for 30 days to complete treatment. She's really looking forward to the breast reduction and tummy tuck.

On top of that my eldest son, right before my wife received her diagnosis, signed up for the Army. Presently he's almost 9 weeks into BCT in Ft Jackson, SC and graduation day is Nov. 1. He'll be heading up to Ft Lee, VA after graduation for MOS training, 91B, wheeled vehicle mechanic, so he's following in his grandfather, uncle and cousin's footsteps.

So there's a lot going on right now and no budget to work with, luckily I have a pretty good stockpile of parts and material to work with.

Moving on, opening up wheel tubs, relocating springs and all that. As you can see from the first pics I have the car very close to the shelves and it doesn't roll very well at present I've only gotten to the left side. The mess underneath fell off the roof of the car and through the trunk floor hole.

The floor has been fully removed at this point.

Here's the only part of the exterior that needs rust repair, the trunk extension is in great shape. My brother found and bought a driver's door for me.

Among the other parts I've gathered there are Speedway leaf spring sliders, an 3.73 geared 8.8 Ford rear(duly noted) that I've already narrowed, Schumacher /6 to 360 spool mounts, C body tie rods and sleeves and manual steering box.

A lady at work is planning on purchasing a new vehicle before Christmas and I'll be picking up her very good running 2000 Durango with a 5.9 very reasonably.

I feel that way about mine, and I've only been ignoring it since late September.

The track opens tomorrow. I ain't gonna make it. 😂
I'd like to say if I started with yours I'd already be driving it, but history shows that's not the case. Hell, it took me 2 years to start daily driving a mostly running truck, though I did have to replace a motor that has no aftermarket or OE support.

I got most of my bang-bangs so once I get the yard buggy fixed for my parents, replace the seats in my truck and the exhaust on my 4 wheeler I plan on getting back to it.

Sorry, dude... I got back after it today. 😂 The carb would be ready but I don't have the right jets for the primary side.

The best method I've found to get shit done, at least in the case of Agnes, is to try and do something--anything--daily. It doesn't have to be much, just spend a few minutes on it. That really helps keep the momentum going. If you look in my build thread, I was posting pretty frequently, often a few days' worth of progress at a time. I was working on it almost daily, weather permitting and not on Tuesdays (my designated night off). Not only does the project slowly get done, you get some feeling of accomplishment knowing you're a bit closer. Unlike the month-and-a-half marathon with the structure and suspension, I was working alone last year. Crank up some music, keep a cold beverage of your choosing handy, and just do something.

I got a lot done, just nothing Nova related. I want to get back to it but, life and other things get in the way. I know the keep plugging away, did that to keep myself occupied when my wife was fighting cancer. I'll watch y'alls progress and hope to drag mine back in the garage in the near future.

I'm down to 3 in school, soon to be 2 with 1 graduating in May. Have a little more cash to work with too for a variety reasons. I'll get back with it soon. I have a few parts lying around, need to gather and inventory them.
