The Mazduh...

My mommy said I couldn't so
Sadly, I recently had to get rid of my Conquest http://www.moparnuts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18536. Damnit Jass!! You were right. Parts for that car are ridiculously expensive! That's not the crappy, either. The biggest pain in the arse was finding them! 9 times out of 10 I had to have them special ordered. That car was cooler than the other side of the pillow to drive, though. Turned quite a bit of heads, too. Needless to say, I had to make an adult decision and let the car go or else I was going to find myself living in it soon :D During that time, I was using my bro-in-laws Ranger. It almost made me regret getting rid of the Conquest considering how much gas those things drink. It was time to get something reliable I could use everyday or should I say my days of being a car whore were over :liar: I wanted a four-door, manual car as I was thinking like an adult preparing for kiddos one day  My fiancee's dad works as a sales manager at a Phord dealership so I took a trip there to check out their used car lineup and had my eyes on an 06 Mazduh 6 from what I thought it was. I took it for a spin and it did not drive like a regular 6 at all. It took me a while to figure it out it was the Mazdaspeed verison :silenced: I never knew Mazda made such a performance sedan like EVO's, STI's, and such. Needless to say, I like it! Plus it doesn't attract the cops which I really need.

Mazda builds some nice, solid cars, and that one there is sharp looking.
Thinking like an adult sucks tho', huh?

I bet the internal dialog during the test drive was hilarious...

"GodDAMN this thing has a strong pull in 1st gear!"

"Wait, 2nd too!"

"What the HELL?!"

I went through something similar when I bought a '92 honda civic hatchback in 1998. I didn't know what the letters on the back of the car meant, so I didn't pay any attention to the fact that the letters were SI. I also didn't notice the fact that the tach redlined at 7250 during that test drive, either. On the way home after buying the car I found that it pulled pretty decent from 5k to 7k-a nice surprise in a car I bought to be cheap on gas and reliable. Anyway, I bet you'll enjoy the hell out of that car.

Exactly! :D I've driven my aunt's 6 with a V6 and it drives nice, but the difference was like night and day. Apparently they took off the Mazdaspeed badge and replaced it with the regular one.

Yeah it really does. :doubt: I miss the carefree high school days, but what the hey. I need to grow someday and this is a huge step for me thinking like one. :hmmm:

Don't do it, Danny... wait til 35 to grow up :)

Peter Pan knows things. Nice car!
