The Learning Channel

I'm not a fan of Strope's work. That should've either been a full custom, or a full resto. Why only go half way?

Also, did he ever stop talking? I think if he shut his mouth, his ass would fly open.

I did not care for the red gauge lighting but other than that thought the car was pretty sweet. A blown and injected 500 inch low deck has to be good for a few smiles and that paint color looks awesome IMHO.

I agree about the paint, always have liked a nice shade of gray. And that's about the color my D-50 was back in 87. :)

Did they ever show the interior?

I remember seeing the gauges when they were delivered. They were killer until the lights came on. [smilie=e:

When they were test-fitting the interior, they had low back buckets ... why would you do that, in a '70? 70 was the first year for highbacks, IMO it looked alien to have those low buckets in there. A nice leather cover on factory seats would've been the way to go. But nobody's sending me checks to build cars, so what do I know? [smilie=eggface.gif]

For those that missed the show.

It'll run again on Sunday afternoon at 3 PM Eastern.

I was actually surprised how much I liked those wheels--probably because they have no "bling" factor like most large-diameter rims--but I would prefer them as maybe 17" or 18" diameter... just gotta have a little more sidewall. Both the wheel pattern and finish I really liked.

i hate the wheels and tires also but its proly them blacked out that makes them not entirely distastefull.....sidewalls are a MUST on anything made befor 1980
