Some moments of brilliance. (5 stars)

Y'know, I never thought I'd hear tracks in 2012 by the Beach Boys worthy of their 1960's legacy, let alone songs that remind me of Pet Sounds in construction and emotional impact. Yet, here we have the songs "From There To Back Again", "Pacific Coast Highway" and "Summer's Gone". Those three tracks are worth the price of the album alone. Probably the best Brian Wilson songs since 1967. The rest of the album

The ultimate summer time band is back with this new album of great songs! There is all types of Beach Boys sounds on here that you will dig! From the "Fun in the Sun" to the Pet Sounds era to Sunflower. You cannot help but smile listening to the love that was put into these songs! The last three will bring tears to your eyes with the beauty that only a Brian Wilson song can bring!!

With the loss of a dear family member to the Beach Boys family (Carl Wilson) and years of set-backs, legal issues and line-up changes founder Brian Wilson and the rest of the remaining 'original members' returns to bring back the "sound" we truly remember for those of us who appreciate the "beach sound" with their new LP. I thought God made Beach boys music to be cranked at stupid volumes to chase people away from every damn car show on the planet.
 
The Beach Boys had 1 good song. Unfortunately, they never actually recorded it and no one's ever heard of it since they threw away the sheet music they'd written. Did I mention I fucking HATE The Beach Boys? Total rip-offs of Jan & Dean, whom I also absolutely despise.

I think it's run by people in charge of music at car shows, as Stretch referenced. It's one of the reasons I don't even like to go to them anymore; with few exceptions I detest '50s and '60s music and having it pounded into my brain is more than I can bear.
 
I like the 50's stuff, the 60's better be late 60's! Aside from that, I can tolerate it but, not a fan myself.








Oh, God didn't invent the radio either. :p

Once a week, usually on Tuesdays, iTunes posts new stuff in their RSS news feed.
TuneFront.com checks it once a week, on the weekend, and gets updated.
This forum section is set up to follow TuneFront.com.

I built TuneFront.com.
This is just set up to generate linkage to the site.
I do the same on a handful of blog sites.
It's all about the linkage.

I try to keep the impact of this section out of the rest of the site - other than the banner ad at the bottom - but now that it has settled down to a couple of posts per week, I'm not worried too much about the impact.

Sure, the new music is less-than-tripe. I can't help it the world has no taste..

There is some neat old stuff on the site itself, though.
There's just over 20,000 entries of a huge range of stuff.
It automatically builds up with new posts over time.
