Political correctness is seriously FUCKING this country up... If I offend anyone I'm sorry, but Christian Zealots are behind the majority of it...I believe they are as bad as muslim fuckheads. They don't kill people or blow up buildings, they utilize the shithead media maggots to push their side...
No offense, 71, but that may be the most
stupid statement I've ever seen posted on this board.
Christian Zealots, a.k.a. right-wing Christians (RWCs) are probably the most militant
against rewarding people for doing nothing or for "rights" not infringed. They believe that the only reward is through hard work, and making a name for yourself. They despise the litigous nature of today's American society--their belief is that you deserve what you earn, and nothing more. This is why they vote for people who want to make welfare an earned income, and vote against folks that would grant citizens' rights to illegal immigrants. They don't teach their kids that losing is just as good as winning; they teach their kids that if they don't like losing they should try harder to be winners. When I was in high school, if you didn't make enough effort, you got cut from the team. Coaches can't do that anymore because they might damage someone's self-esteem... back then, if your self-esteem was bruised, then you went out and tried harder if being on the team was truly important to you.
If you're looking for someone to blame, perchance choose the liberals that think if you had the courage to swim the Rio Grande you should get Social Security, or that would make "mercy rules" a law so that a high-school football team couldn't lose by more than 30 points (in '84, we beat one team by 72 points), or think that the first kid eliminated in a spelling bee should get a trophy just for participating... I can tell you this, those same people ain't in church on Sunday. If they are, it's for appearance's sake.
"Everybody wins" or "everyone deserves a reward" is about as far from Christian dogma as you could possibly get... fanatical or not.
I'm a Catholic--but far from a RWC--yet I was raised with the standard that you only get what you've earned, and nothing more... and I have yet to meet anyone of any serious Christian faith raised any other way. In fact, I know a few people that grew up peeing in pails because their parents couldn't afford running water, and instead of being ashamed or feeling deprived, they were deliriously happy to have what they did be it used clothes or a deer carcass dropped at their door by a kind soul wanting to make sure there was meat for the family. Those same people are very close with their families and are some of the hardest-working, "I won't take what I haven't earned" people you'll ever meet.
Oh, and they're all Christians... and they're also concerned about the direction this country seems to be taking with the loss of basic freedoms and the ridiculous giveaways to the undeserving.
The blame lies solely with "liberal" thinkers, and I can't think of a group more unAmerican disguising itself as defenders of freedom than the ACLU.
