Hey! There’s no easy button for a body like this!
Is anyone else finding this site super slow? Every other site I go to is super fast! This one however, takes a minute or better to load and about the same or longer to from page to page. Posting is hit or miss. One time its super fast and other times I think my post got lost so I do it again and, What do ya know, it looks like I stutter becouse it's there twice.
 
Oh, and sometimes my avater shows up as a red X and other times it's there.
 
I tweaked a few things. Let me know if you see a change.

For the avatar, you had a jpg image saved with a gif file extension.
Some parts of the code were detecting that and erroring out.
I've changed the file extension on the server for you. It should be good to go, now.
 
Actually, I think the avatar thing is something else....

I'm seeing the thumbnails of them are broken for other users....
 
Hi Dave. I'm seeing the same problem as Stretch, where the web page is very slow to load. After I'm on it seems to work okay but getting it to load up is just sloooooooooow, even after cleaning the cookies. Thx Gary
 
most of the slow...atleast for me...is in the transition from the front page into the forum itself.....dont get me wrong the initial page drags its ass..."new posts" is useualy a lil slow too but after that its smooth as butter....replys seem to take about double what they used to....but thats not really an issue
 
I turned off the Facebook features.

See if that helps.
It seems a bit quicker for me, even.
 
When I'm on another site and then select Moparnuts...it take has been taking a while to load up the site. Today it seemed a bit quicker but still slower then other sites.
 
It's only slow for me on initial loading. Once I'm on, it seems pretty good for me. A little slow, but nothing I felt worth mentioning previously.

NOTE: My bookmark is straight to the forums, though, not to the home page.
 
I've just turned off the Facebook platform again.

I did a packet capture of the web traffic from my PC, and that seems to take a bit of time.
I'm looking at the SiteLock Secure thing too. It's nice to have, but if affects performance..... ( I forget what it actually does. :shifty: )
 
Oh, yeah. It's scans the pages of the site to make sure no one has planted any malware or virii.
