Signet-ficant Other

He always spoke highly of you Rusty. He really did enjoy helping people. The things that involved research he loved the most.

I do appreciate the wheel offer but I don't need them. Thank you for the offer and making the effort to get shipping quotes. If they were slots like what is on the car I would have been all over your offer.
Thank you Sir.

I think he liked me cause my brain needed research!
Alway over complicated things.

OK, just trying to finish my clean up around here.

"I returned home with a few goodies from the storage units. I took them into my basement and set them down on a cabinet. A fucking cabinet!!! The cabinet with the rocker stands in the first drawer I opened! It was here the entire time LOL."

That was Pierre, mucking with you! :)

Because of parts availablity for the w2 engine I had to move on to plan B.

I have a 1970 340 that I bought at a swap meet years ago. They guy swore up and down this was a great engine. I bought it but was always very skeptical. It's been on a engine stand in my garage for about 10 years and who knows how long it sat before he brought it to the Jefferson WI. Swap.

I wasn't going to have parts for the w2 engine in time so I droped this in.

He wasn't full of shit. I primed it, rebuilt the carb, dumped the oil and antifreeze out of it ( yes it had both in it) and changed the timing set. This thing runs awesome! No smoke, no noise, never a tick, and 40 p.s.i. of oil pressure hot.

I could not use the headers that were on the car. The w2 heads have a specific bolt pattern. I do have a cheep set of small block a-body headers. I am not proud of what I had to do to those headers to make them fit. I'm sure the crash damage on the right front frame rail, the replaced left front rail, and the 6 cylinder k-frame with trans adapt conversation motor mounts have everything to do with the brutality required. I think I paid $20.00 for these headers so I really dont give a shit LOL.

Agnes will be at the show next weekend. 20250526_121101.jpg20250526_121106.jpg20250603_190405.jpg20250609_181457.jpg

The ole get a bigger hammer theory works every time!

Looks like my show will be rained out again tomorrow, hope yours goes off ok.

I trailered Agnes up to work today and tossed her up on the alignment rack after work tonight.

I drove her a few blocks afterwards. This is the first time this car has moved down a road in years. The first time I have driven her since Pierre's and I started the v8 swap, how many years ago? It felt great to finally drive her. Now I'm waiting for the registration to show up in the mail. Once that gets here I plan to put some miles on her.20250614_122038.jpg

I totally failed at getting pictures. Thetr were over 50 cars. Kevin took Pierre's pink dart home to Atlanta in December and had it together and driving for the show. He trailered it all the way back and we spent the week cruzing in it. I got Agnes together in time but couldn't drive it much. I'm still waiting on the registration paperwork to come back from the state.

There were guys who haven't had their cars out in years that got them running for the show.

I failed at getting pictures. Mostly because I spent so much time talking to everyone about Pierre. It was a emotionally overwhelming day. It was a great day and a fun day.

I'll see what I can do about gathering pictures from friends and posting them up.20250621_105109.jpg20250621_105047.jpg20250621_132226.jpg20250621_202013.jpg20250621_105025.jpg20250621_132212.jpg

Here is the very few I took.

Here you go.
The pink car was basically a roller when Pierre passed. Kevin and I assembled it enough at my house so Kevin could get it to Atlanta. He worked on that car every night to trailer it back up here to Iron Mountain Mi. For this show. Holy crap he did a ton of work in a few short weeks.

Thanks for the shots, Looks like He had many good friends, nice turnout!
There were a lot more cars. I'm still trying to get pics from friends. I total dropped the ball when it came to taking pictures.

This is a link to a video a friend took at the show.

Here's to hoping the link works.

Enjoy. If you can
