Leave what you've got Rusty. Just should've started this when you started the car. And don't skimp on details or photos. This thread can be as long as you need it.

Sounds good, even though it would a kept me busy a while relinking all those photos!
K todays progress, put some putty on, sanded some putty off,& again & again, well you know how that goes, can't wait to pull the hood in the shop! [smilie=e: for more mild weather! Rich.

would be a cool topic! isn't it possible to make this topic in "reverse"? i meen that the newest posts with pics comes on top?

Got the garage warm enough to work, so as not to waste a day & wait for the por tech rep. I set up my own lab!

Etched the metal & put a coat of por 15 over it all, I know it will stick to theirs, will scratch it up tomorrow & double check, also same over the rage.........

on the dr. fender I scratched up the areas where it didn't seem to stick, got the fender nice & toasty & shot it again with their tie coat primer, hopefully tomorrow I will get that answer from the tech rep(hopefully he won't tell me to strip it all & start over)??????????? [smilie=e: Rich.
my hands & eyes tell me I'm real close on this fender, well see tuesday when Ron comes over?

Still playing with the fenders, everything seems to be sticking , roughed up that coat a por 15 & nothing started peeling, so i hit it with a second coat, on the other side a new hi spot appeared I think I musta banged it on something, so I wet sanded yesterdays primer, it's close guys I can feel it! Hit the new dent with some hammers & a little putty, got a coat a primer on both fenders & then things went south, started the second coat on the dr fender & shot (I don't know what to call it) confetti???? all over the side of it, (gummy lookin strands a chit) played with the gun a bit & gave up for the night, cleaned the gun, will sand the "chit" off tomorrow & get the second coat on both, Rons got a few hours & I'm off so maybe shoot the fenders & drag in the hood & start on that ! cool a new piece to look at! Rich.

Last work day before holiday break, Ron & i got a lot done, First I picked up some stuff to make life easier(& more precise)2 quartz lights & a D/A sander, it always helps when you can see what your doin!

K now this probably looks like all the other shots of the fender, but we did it in 400 wet, shot the last coat a primer (Ron shot it, god he made it look so easy), & it now sits just one 600 wet sandin from paint!

Again similar stuff,But guys(& dolls) I'm pattin myself on the back over this area, probably got 30 or 40 hours in on this dented area, it's finally done!

Somethin different you ask, well so as not to dissapoint, we finally pulled the hood in the shop & started workin on it, not too bad, but quite a few dings as you will see! [smilie=e: Rich.

Weathers holdin, gararge is toasty, RUSTY's continuing on his quest!oh thats me, I made a mess outta the other fender too much putty, gonna be sanding that for a while, but on the good side got the hood sanded out & the first coat a por15 is on, if I don't get too many interruptions tomorrow I hope to give it a second coat & shoot a coat or 2 a prime, get it ready for blocking!
Round one complete!

For a livin,NEVER, too much hard work!
Well that nice shinny hood showed me how bad it was, the middle of the front looks like the ocean in a storm, worked down a few high spots today, aaaah the joy of 30 yr old cars! [smilie=b: LOVE it ,Rich.

Ron was over to help out today, we got the stormy seas down to calm swells. First coat a primer on, next time its warm 2nd coat on that & the pass fender & I can start blockin those. This poor hoods been worked so many times it's not sure what shape it's supposed to be! [smilie=e:
lookie here, 3 pieces all the same color! [smilie=e: Rich

Not much today, root canal this am, temp cap put on, other cap that fell out glued back in & a haircut pretty much shot the am, heated up the fender & shot 2nd coat primer, after it dried same to the hood, only enough heaters & lights to warm up one at a time, pulled in the front & rear valences & the header panel to start strippin, rear valence was new & header panel looks ok, not too much work there, front valence is a bit beat & 1 rust hole near the middle bolt hole, & a multitude of dings, so I'll be busy on that awhile. Rich.

Should have had the tooth pulled.....would have been more money for the 'Cuda :D Just Kidding Rusty, I'd love to be there and see the look on your face when you fire this car up and go cruising for the first time! [smilie=e:

Well if the work on it don't kill me & the chemicals I'm ingesting don't turn me into the "Thing" I might be there to see it too! & I will be grinnin, wether I have teeth or not! [smilie=e: Rich.
