Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s presidential campaign had a record fundraising quarter, exceeding its original goal of $12 million by over 50 percent when it raised nearly $20 million during the months of October, November and December.

“Only Dr. Paul has the ability to inspire Americans to contribute and take action that is necessary if Republicans want to defeat the Democrats in November,” said campaign chairman Kent Snyder.

In two 24-hour periods on November 5 and December 16, the campaign raised over $10 million dollars. The total of over $19.5 million represents an increase of nearly 300 percent from its third quarter total of $5.28 million.

For the quarter, the campaign had over 130,000 donors, including over 107,000 new donors. The total was reached with an average donation size that was just under $90.

Of the other Republican candidates, only Mike Huckabee – who reported $5.04 million this quarter – discloses his fundraising total online. However, Dr. Paul’s total is over $9 million more than any Republican candidate raised in the third quarter.
-------YESi know it is American politics. but you got to look at it.this guy is good.i was watching the COLBERT REPORT the other nite and MCAIN said Ron Paul is not out of the running to which the audiecnce gave a resounding applause.even COLBERT had to laugh.and MCAIN didnt know what to say at the guffaw. but it is true. nobdy else has raised this kind of money. and held the attention of so many. :)

The Pauliact's are a scary bunch this side of the border Orvil, Ronnie thinks we should close all military base's world wide and just mind our own business at home and wait till some freak come's after us again and then deal with them:naughty:

I like some of his tax proposal's (No IRS) and just a flat tax for every one tho:cool:

You all know how I feel about Ron Paul, and I'm glad somebody with intellect can share my same views.

We are much weaker spread all around the globe and personally I would feel a hell of a lot safer with all of our troops home. Why is it that our tax money goes to pay for the bombs to blow up a bridge over in Iraq, then it's our tax money that goes to rebuild the bridge... yet our own bridges are falling down here? We aren't the super power we once were... it's time to stop spreading our wings while we waste away here. I'm 20 years old, and sometimes i wonder if the generations before me even care about what kind of world I'm going to have to live in?

Before you say how much of a nutjob he is, realize this. In the 80s Ron predicted the economic struggle that took place well before economists did. Now he is predicting that we are getting ourselves into a situation that will bankrupt this country, yet has stated time and time again we can fix things, but must start by not wasting our money overseas. The man is a genius in my mind. He knows how the laizzes-faire economic system works and he knows how to fix it.

All I can say is that of those 130,000 donors, one of them was me. Also, McCain is a true moron run by lobbyists.

That statement makes you look like an arrogant, snot nosed, know it all chump kid. Think before you announce how intelligent you are to the world. Being a college student does not make you more informed or more enlightened than anyone here.

Since you're at school, go to the library, and carefully study the isolationist policy Ron's so fond of, and see how it worked for us up until WWII. That was so successful, we had to nuke somebody(had we invaded Japan, more would've died). When a powerful nation with much needed resources isolates itself, it becomes an easy target of evil men, and no they won't leave us alone if we leave them alone. The fact of the matter is that you're only seeing the world through an idealist's frame of reference, but reality states otherwise.

The idea isn't to anger you, Jr, just make you see the world as it exists in reality. :bravo:

This is true, and I meant no hard words against anybody.

To truly say that a non-interventionalist foreign policy would fail is kind of like counting your chickens before your eggs hatch. Many people doubt non-intervention because they fear that people would attack us for no reason. But in all reality, there is reason. A non-interventionalist foreign policy will fail when you go against the ideals of it. We were attacked by Al-qaeda because of blowback. We've had our troops in their "religious land" for years.

Basically I'm just tired of this regimes "all out war" mentality. I think they're bankrupting this country... it's kind of funny, the rebate checks we're all receiving is money borrowed from china... most people used some of it to put gas in their cars... thus sending the money to saudi arabia. Makes a lot of sense don't it?

So in any sense, I have no right to be a political machine... I'm just sick and tired of things going in the wrong direction for such a long time, and I doubt I'm the only one.

wow--oops ouch oh-snap-------didnt mean to have a hot topic. BUT now that itis . well i was just making an observation. however when you look at the Men and women who are at war then i think this is crazy. why? we dont want war.it is the big guys like Rumsfeild and Bush and Rockefeller , Rothchilds and others. they pull the strings. RP says forget them and bring them home. now he is taking a big step to say this. Kennedy stood up and sodid others and they were gunned down. or told to dummy down. when Bushes grandfather was funding the second world war nobody knew of such corruption. now we do and Ron Paul now says give the people back the Federal Reserve . it was origanally for the people. .. you rent your money.when money is coming from the FR you rent it. why?RP says it is yours. kennedy said the samething. Rothchild said -- give me your bank and i will rule your country. and that is happening. Rothchilds OWN THE FEDERAL RESERVE.. Ron Pual may not be rite in every thing but to have your own bank is enough to get a country back on track. the states was stronger when there boarders were known to be guarded. not the way they are now.i dont believe we are as strong as we should be. i say that for 2 countries. but when you look at the alternatives welli think that RP is your better choice. when you look at Hillary you see corruption at its fullest and Obama isee lies that will give your country away. and Mccain i see an old war horse that wants to do what Goldwater wanted to do with Nam and have 1MORE PUNCH AT THE BAG and he is backed by Bush. and what Bush wants he gets. why? he is tied in with Rockefellers and the bunch. Rpaul might not be the best but when you look at his time in gov. he has a good record. i think he can stand to be counted and not think twice.i dont think he is connected in any way. just my thots. EH? :)

Ahhh, gosh I love our political talks. :) They always end on such a sweet note. :)

Well, just to stir up the pot a little a few years of isolationalism would probably do this country a world of good. After all, how long can we be the peace keepers and bankers for the rest of the world? Just look at how much "We The People" fund foreign countries every year for their economic and political woes.

How much did Korea cost us?

How much did Viet Nam cost us?

Iraq?

Afghanistan?

Isreal?

Somalia?

We still gave Iran medical supplies and food when they held our people hostage in the late '70's?

Let's go back to the war debt of WWI and WWII.

Yet we have hard working "United States Citizens" that can't make their financial ends meet.

Go Ron Paul!

FIRST off you need homes------quit mortgaging other countries and morgage yourself and get yourhome. then y7ou can help somone else. if you have nothing you cannot give anything because you dont have. when your freezer is full then help someone and when you are warm then you can warm someone else with food.and yes medical supplies when they are holding our guys captive? blow the bastards out of thier socks and bring our guy,s home . let them figure it out where they went wrong. countries who dont want to play the game STARVE. sorry but we dont have time to argue and that is all it seems they want to do. nope wont work. it,sthe only ballgame in town. either play and get along and be thankful or go home and that goes for the immagrunts to. they should all settlein the NORTH for 10 years and build up that area not the big metro cities. then when the 10 years are up maybe they want to move south. but why would they when they have a a bussiness or family there. and no --- you dont get welfare. you can afford to come here then you can afford to by a variety store -- you do anyway. NOTAX breaks either. time to stand but hold onto your chair some paci might try to sell it back to you:bwuhaha::bwuhaha:
