Rob's 68 Road Runner Project

The housing has been cut to size and new ends welded in place. The ladder bar brackets have also been welded and strengthened. My chassis guy does nice work.

Here are some pictures

Likes the ladder system R. Almost went with it for mine, until I rethunk it. Are you adding a diagonal?

Hey Rob
Looks very familiar :-) !!!
Do you have axles yet, i still have the Strange axles from when i ran with SS springs. Could make ya a sweet deal on them if they fit your set up.I had mine(Dana) cut right down again. Anyways lookin forward to lining up with ya at Shannonville!!

Rob I had it cut down to my B-Body 8 3/4's length. They have the bearings and retainers.Just slide em in and your done. The Dana's a 60 HD.There's pic's of the Coronet on the luskville photo gallery site. Look in the street cars& bikes section :-)

I finally located a 440 block for the eventual stroker build. It is 20 over now and needs another 10 to 20 to clean and straighten her up.

If you're thinking of the 512 kit like mine, they only offer the custom Ross pistons for that crank/rod combo. Either .030 or .055. I went with the .055 since I didn't know the bore size until I got there and tore down the block. Luckily it looked like it was a virgin block so no problems there. They're really nice pistons too.

Cleaned up and Test fitted the Manual Steering Box I got from the Restoman (Thanks again!)

I also got the correct length Panhard bar for the ladder bar set up

Ok, you asked! Here is the dana and the ladder bars, note the number if ways the builder strengthened the housing and brackets and front crossmember The axle is now centered to allow the wheel to be centered. Before it was so close the the front of the quarter panel, that it would hit it when the tire expands.[smilie=2:
