Rav's intake

Well I'm going to be starting on Rav's intake this weekend...little port work on the inside and a port match to the heads it will be NICE once it's finished...should be worth about 8-15 hp and tq from it's out of the box condition...

I had to clean it up before I started...just can't seem to get excited about porting a grungy old intake...

I bet being cleaner adds another 1 HP. Before and after pictures of the porting would be good too.

Just say no to aluminum carb spacers Rav, they transfer way to much heat. Get a wooden one and your carbie will stay much cooler and happier, trust me.

A12...I just gave it a quick blast with some glass bead...
mopar...I'll take some pictures as I go along

Rav...one inch might be a bit too tall...Im going to put a head on the flow bench and put the intake on it and see how much spacer it likes...

Glass beading is the shiznit! My buddy that runs a machine shop has a nice blasting cabinet-I use it on everything I can.

Boy this intake need a lot of grinding...!!! :doh: I've never seen an intake wall divider so thick before.... .358[smilie=2: small intake port opening kinda reminds me of those old SP2P intakes...(almost)

what C.I.D. is the 440 @ .030 over ?

At .030 it would make it a 446 ci in...just think at 1.25 hp per ci in you should have 557 hp :giggedy:

ROB , what do you guesstimate it had with stock intake unbreathable 213 heads and the eddy 750 vac 2ndarys ? out of the box it was rated 285 HP .
would you guess around 325 HP or so ?
