ramp pins?

so ive got a lil issue...ive bent another set of pins for my ramp truck/trailer combo..ive tried solid stock as well as pipe and what i was told was hard tube..even some stainless(which seems to flex and bounce back for the most part)

anyone got any thoughts?>...the pins are about 1/2inch or so and about 18inches long(actual span is something like 10-12)....i can verify OD if someones got a serious fix for me....i was wondering if spring steel would be the fix im after

i have pics if needed

this should pretty well give good explanation...works the same way on the truck

the trailers comfortable at around 3k....but ive had a max of 4.5....lets just put it this way..a-bodys are pudgy on it but haul nice..alfas and the like haul like a dream on it

yes the pins support the ENTIRE weight of the aluminum ramps and the cars untill they get on the trailer...the ramps have full width tubes built in..so its just 2 flat bars with holes on the trailer and the truck..ramps are he same length as the trailer at a lil over 16ft

Could you just put some jackstands and maybe a square of 3/4 ply to set them on under the joint so that the load distributes better? With 16' ramps, you'd be able to jack the rear of the trailer up a little to set it on jackstands without adding hardly any angle to the climb.. Sounds simpler than metallurgy, but might add ten minutes to each haul..

sure..but it doesnt solve the problem for the truck..EXACT same setup but now the pins are 3 foot in the air and the deck's 20 ft long......my gtv6 managed to bend my current set of pins climbing onto the back of the truck

the bonus to the single axle of the trailer is as you get the load neer the tail it will lift the tow vehical and "kneel" allowing for STUPID low stuff to slip on and off effortleslly
