Earlier this year, the Canadian Truck King Challenge rated the Ram 1500 as the best truck in Canada, for the second year, despite a new GMC Canyon diesel and aluminum Ford F-150.
The Ram 1500 dieselwas impressive in fuel economy, beating the smaller Ford EcoBoost V6 by 27% unloaded and by 29% when towing 6,000 pounds.The Ram also beat the Ford 3.5 EcoBoost — by 20% unloaded, and by 23% when towing. The F-150, while carrying nowhere near the economy of the Ram, does have a higher payload rating.
