After Ram discovered sagging fuel tanks in certain “salt-state” trucks, the company investigated the problem and issued a voluntary recall.
The recall covers over a quarter of a million 2009-12 Ram 1500s in regions where road crews frequently use salt to reduce the danger of slipping on ice — in states as far south as West Virginia, as well as in Canada, parts of Mexico, and certain regions outside North America.
